RITUALS CREATED BY ARTISTS AS GIFTS*

Ponds, pools, fountains, creeks, a little waterfall. Otherworldly fish. Plateaus and slopes. Sun and shade. A redwood grove. A tunnel. Views of bridges and islands. Flowers and plants and trees. Lamb’s-ear that looks like a lotus. What will you discover?

A garden that opens on a weekend only once a year: April 21, 9am-4pm. Free. 73°. Join us.
Come wander, bring a friend, a picnic basket, a water bottle to fill from the waterfall.
Children are welcome, as are furry children on a leash.
Blake Garden, 70 Rincon Rd, Kensington, CA.

7 RITUALS

ANDREW MIGUEL FULLER.
Armed with a stapler, meditatively and meticulously, over the course of several hours, conversations, and locations, Andy created paper out of the garden's fallen flora.

LIA SUTTON.
Feel Flora Treatise: Find someone to play with. Find a piece of flora, or a stone, or water. Close your eyes. Deep breath. What do you notice when you touch what you found? Do you keep it to yourself or share with your playmate?

LONG OUYANG.
Long offered audiovisual amuse-bouches: hiding behind the sign was an animatronic dance party.

THERESA CURRIE.
In the redwood grove, next to a little figure 8 pool, Theresa recut and redrew a book, taking breaks to resound with jars.

GUILLERMO GALINDO.
Guillermo wheeled in a suitcase full of mysterious instruments. Standing above the grotto, he filled the open space of the garden with sounds of animals, nature, and unknown beings from far away.

BEATRIZ ESCOBAR (with AMANDA LARSON).
In the peaceful afterglow of getting your hands washed with salt and water, you were invited to set an intention and had a pomegranate-dyed thread tied around your wrist as a reminder.
